Marantz AV8801 Vs AV7702

For people interested in music and home cinema systems, AV receivers are an appealing purchase. However, it’s hard to decide which AV receiver is best for you because of the vast amount available and specifications that seem to be in a different language. In this comparison I will be looking at two of the models released by Marantz, the AV8801 and AV7702.

Marantz AV8801 Vs AV7702

I will start the same way everybody does, the price. Even though both products seem identical. The price is where we first see that these products are not so similar. The AV7702 costs around $2650, whereas the AV8801 is an incredible $3100. Now, this might be enough for you to instantly decide on the AV7702, and for most people I would agree. However, it is vital that you know what each product offers, otherwise you might end up buying one that is unsuitable for your needs.

Even though Marantz are charging incredible prices for their products, it could be argued that they are well worth their money. The AV7702 and AV8801 both come with enough HDMI inputs for your whole neighborhood to plug in to your AV Receiver, making the back of the devices look like they belong in the NASA HQ. Both devices also come with Wi-fi and bluetooth connection. It seems like Marantz have included every possible way to connect your devices to their products, making them easy to use for everybody. Both devices also come with full 4k compatibility that gives you the best quality you can get.

The big difference between these two products – apart from the price – is the modifications and enhancements that the latest released models come with. Marantz have reworked every critical component within the AV7702. This has improved the audio massively, meaning that it is one of the best AV receivers available.
