Pioneer SC 61 Vs SC 71

Are you confused in choosing between Pioneer SC 61 and Pioneer SC 71? Both are A/V receiver models with 7.2 channels. Quite interestingly, Pioneer SC 71 actually comes with a more compact and lightweight design than Pioneer SC 61. With a smaller body, Pioneer SC 71 doesn’t require as much surface area as Pioneer SC 61, while the lighter weight obviously makes it easier to place and install. About the layout, both models are still quite similar to each other. They both stay simple and uncluttered for an elegant look and convenient usage. They each comes with a wide display screen and a pair of control knobs; one on the right for master volume and one on the left for input selector. Meanwhile, the standby/on button is surrounded by a blue halo that does not only enhance the premium, futuristic looks, but also allows for visibility under limited light. Thanks to the creativity and innovation of the manufacturer, despite the smaller physicality, Pioneer SC 71 is actually able to deliver higher output power. Previously, on Pioneer SC 61, the power output is only 125 W per channel with 4-ohm speakers. Now, the power output has been heightened to 180 W per channel, allowing for the most thrilling audio immersion. In addition, Pioneer SC 71 now supports the Hi-Bit 24-bit Audio Signal Processing for enhanced audio quality. The sounds are astonishingly detailed, crisp, and with superior clarity! Pioneer SC 71 also offers multi-zone control with HD Zone and Powered Zone Audio. Both models are powered by Marvell Qdeo up to 1080p/24fps and are 3D-ready.

Both models come with built-in wireless adapter and Bluetooth adapter ports, but you need to use additional adapters plugged in the back to actually use the features. Both have built-in vTuner for Internet Radio and are compatible with Android and Apple devices. Pioneer SC 71 has added the compatibility with HTC Connect and Pandora, though.

All in all, Pioneer SC 71 is indeed an excellent improvement from Pioneer SC 61. The form factor is smaller, the audio performance is much better with 24-bit audio signal processing, and there are more built-in features. Therefore, Pioneer SC 71 should be the way to go!
